Mollison Street, Kyneton
The owner of this newly purchased period home wanted all the 90’s cream to vanish and a more modern, yet cosy, colour palette to take its place.
To achieve this look in the front three formal rooms, I aimed for the wall area below the picture rails to be painted in a soft mauve grey, and above the picture rails, a warm white. Ceilings were painted in a pale neutral, which echoed the undertone of the below rail colour, to help draw the sprawling ceilings down. In these rooms, skirting and architraves white painted in a warm white. Remaining traditional rooms that received little natural light were painted in the same warm white colour and impressive feature wall panelling (in the hallway) was highlighted in a neutral tone enamel, which complimented the mauve grey. This home is still a work in progress. Stay tuned, I can’t wait to show you photos once they become available!
